Many people enjoy cycling but to really get the best out of your cycling, a bike in 'tiptop’ condition is required. Often it is not convenient to continually to drop into Bikes Revived for minor adjustments. So, we have devised a range of programs and courses to allow you to reach a mechanical level where you can do your own minor maintenance. So if you would like to get to grips with how your bike works and do repairs yourself, then we are happy to share our expertise. We are able to offer the following by prior arrangement:
A Bicycle Basic Introductory Course (2.5hrs) These sessions are ideal for those people who need to start at the very beginning.
Specialist Practical Sessions for individuals or groups providing intermediate level training in bike maintenance to enable you to service your own bike.
These sessions are for those who already have some bicycle maintenance skills. We can make our workshop facilities and expertise available so that groups/individuals can visit us to repair, maintain or build their own bikes. Booking essential to secure your workplace and tools.
Our Cytec qualified mechanics are on hand to provide advice and guidance on bike maintenance as well as helping you to select the right bike for you or your family
Use of the bike stands, all tools, truing stand and refreshments is priced @ £5 per hour We have a small selection of new parts (Tyres, chains, brake pads etc) and of second-hand and parts for you to choose from at additional cost.
Note: The program is subject to available grant funding and subsequently may be only available to specified groups or individuals
Individuals work with one of our mechanics to overhaul and refurbish a donated bike learning basic mechanical skills in the process.
